According to their Internet blog Thursday, this formality has begun and is an exciting time for all involved. The Reverend Victor Kim says, “A happy day for all of us!”
A United Church congregation worshipped the Lord for decades and decades at my father Peter’s Maple Lawn cemetery during his golden years. Back in 2011, after retiring from the municipality here where he had previously been office manager at Victoria Lawn for several years, he agreed to make Maple Lawn the object of much care.
The Idea of You
May 10, 2024. A newsletter update from Amazon notified me that I could get The Idea of You, one of the latest romances.
I usually don’t watch something like that, but it’s Mother’s Day and sometimes we need to be with others.
Likely, I won’t make an exception to anything I might consider customary when watching this particular movie, but it was a strategy I considered when trying to find something chilling enough for our attention to be drawn to future Amazon originals. It’s hard to predict whether or not this film would have such a result. I suppose it would be cute.

My favourite Deerhunter record is Halcyon Digest. My last look at Deerhunter’s Bandcamp page was shortly after I learned the band disbanded. The discography for Deerhunter ended before Halcyon Digest, which is a curious way to delay the completion of their Bandcamp discography.
It’s been a long time since Bradford Cox last performed music, except for one small appearance with another person doing a noise rock show, and the television appearances by MGMT which featured that outfit doing Pink Floyd songs with the Deerhunter rocker in the performances.
There are observations about every song on Halcyon Digest included in the Muse review.
It explains Cox’s most pressing health concern during Deerhunter’s Halcyon Digest, which I found fascinating.
This also explains the meaning behind Halcyon Digest’s closing song He Would Have Laughed, which made Deerhunter seem like one of the most important indie bands ever.
Not that I had any idea this was going on at the time. At the time, I wasn’t a big late-night TV watcher when Deerhunter performed a song from Halcyon Digest on one of the late shows.
It was a mess—as much a guilty pleasure as that song is. First viewing the video and getting my first look at Bradford Cox, I was aghast, asking the universe what was wrong with him. Would he be okay?
Like someone like Iggy Pop, he seemed cool.
A lot of the extra material that accompanied Deerhunter’s discography of indie rock albums as they made their name for themselves quickly challenged that perception, though.
That’s quite a cat, Bradford Cox.
The mysterious song on Halcyon Digest by the other songwriter in Deerhunter is interesting. Deerhunter played it a lot of times. It was a fan favourite.
The two musicians in Deerhunter always seemed to have a friendly relationship as bandmates.
As a matter of fact, there’s been more to the picture that’s been explained now.
The drummer of the band, Moses Archuleta, has a new album, Cemetery Classics. It’s an album going under the name New Moon Diagrams. Invent a holiday. How would you celebrate it?
I enjoy the holidays.
They hold a special place in my heart. In fact, today is National Read Across America Day, an excellent idea for a holiday. St Patrick’s Day is a holiday in Ireland.
My humble opinion is that Free to Technologize Day should be a national holiday. On the Internet, this holiday would celebrate the desire to connect all the people of the world. I think we need a holiday to make AI part of our normal day-to-day lives now that I’m seeing a lot of headlines about it.
We could celebrate the holiday right on social media, with “badges” to indicate we support Free to Technologize. I think it could be a compelling movement.
AI reminds people of films like The Terminator, Total Recall, Alien, and others in that movie genre. I think because those are scary films, we believe that AI will ultimately prove frightening and even dangerous.
I have read that AI can quickly assume characteristics that are not unlike the characteristics of a manic-depressive adolescent. I have not read much about whether there is an off-command to quickly reduce an AI chat to nothing. I would have thought that such a concern would be first and foremost in people’s eyes.
People who have examined how AI chat makes them feel have admitted that it is a disturbing experience.
One aspect of AI that has impacted me personally is that I no longer have any idea what the future will appear like, except that there may be unforetold opportunities I have never thought of. I feel that interacting with Mother Nature is very important for everyone, no matter who. There would be health consequences with never a moment setting foot in nature.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, continues to step up to bat every time he envisions a way that Meta could spearhead man’s interest in technology so that he retains his hold on wealth and power. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has a different strategy that he is pronouncing, what with the tremendous power Musk wields thanks to the fortune he built. Musk, of the billionaire social class, is the most humanitarian of the lot, I believe.

What Would I Do with a Billion US Dollars? #bloganuary
Come up with a crazy business idea.
It would be pretty cool to spend a billion US dollars. I bet I could build a thriving business in any industry anywhere in the world. I suppose I would put myself at the helm and draw any number of talented people to run different functions.
I started thinking about publishing when I tried to be honest with myself about what kind of firm I would build. I am not sure, however, if that would be the only fun. The future of traditional publishing in January 2023 appears uncertain to me.
Tech flitted across my consciousness. A line of desktop computers for gaming and a few game titles would be something I’d like to do, something tech-oriented and retro-feeling. There would be a first-person shooter set in a Martian-like alien world, and there would be a space battle game about building a colony in outer space and battling other colonies for control.
There seems to be a difference between blogging and becoming a publisher to me. It might be fun to create a simulation game where you can play as a publishing magnate right from home. Through this, I will be able to compete with rival media companies for control of the information flow in the first world.
A couple more games, it would be fun to do an action game which would probably be another first-person shooter where an Intelligence operative runs about in a Cold War era Planet Earth to protect the free world, and fifth, a game that helps players find their way into a metaverse, but a metaverse where the NPCs and the environments to run about within are pleasantly surreal homes for both AI-generated imagery and player uploads of their own detailed NPCs and art to increase the value of by searching for both historical relics and also rare ingredients that provide quirky special touches to art that players create on the fly for the game.
This would be a pretty rewarding way to impact the lives of many people.

How would a business contract work?
- No Keyword Research
I am referring to how successful you will be without keyword research. Lots of people know that Internet traffic is invaluable. Your reach depends on how you use SEO.
SEO is search engine optimization, which means keywords that help search understand your page. The best SEO will help search engines to rank you favourably.
You aren’t interested in using SEO to impact news on the Internet. You want local influence so that you are a “go-to” guy.
a) Write a blog post with the wrong keyword, then write another one incorporating the keyword at least twice.
For years I deliberately utilized “wrong” keywords. Let me clarify.
I had some idea of what made proper SEO, but I liked the idea of borrowing keywords. I was able to do this because the website where I download stock photos includes keywords.
When I finally decided to conform, what got me on the path was a free tool I discovered that can search the text for relevant keywords, called YAKE! I love it!
Did that solve my problems? Well, no, because my blog became somewhat of a fail even with an improved approach to keywords.
Why was this? The search engines must have detected my attempts to rank higher. A bias was clear.
10 years later: Indexed pages are low and the bounce rate is high.
It will be most worthwhile for you to blog if your blog has a relevant theme. I do this for fun, not to bring home the bacon. I put the time in at it here and there, thinking the outcome may be interesting.
b) After July 24th, 2018, Google AdWords became Google Ads.
There are three distinct campaign types available today under the Google Ads brand, including Search, Display, and Video. Search ads are text ads displayed among search results on a Google results page.
Display ads are typically image-based and are shown on web pages within the Google Display Network.
Video ads are between six and 15 seconds and appear on YouTube.
With Google Ads, you can find out what searches are happening on Google, and how you can capitalize on that web traffic. In the interest of full disclosure, I’m not a business guy, but I know if you are trying to earn profits, Google Ads is a tool that can help you out quite a lot. I’ve only looked at it enough to gain a layman’s understanding.
c) Plug in some keywords that relate directly to your content in the search
Keywords interest me, and I’ve been interested in them since I was taught about them, in 1996. I can remember learning about them in school.
An SEO company will offer to put your business on the front page of Google. They help customize a client’s website so that its SEO makes it attractive to search engines like Google. I’m having a ” problem ” because my SEO isn’t great.
In fact, if you are reading this, maybe you have an idea of what I could do to master some traffic to my blog. At the end of this part of my exposition on SEO, you could leave me a comment if you have a suggestion or feedback.

Nine Years a Nonprofit Part I
This is an excerpt of a blog post I am working on that recalls the nine years I have put it in a family not-for-profit business. A blogger called Fandango suggested readers write posts centered on the word assist. As it so happened, I have a post I’m editing that lends itself to that word, a form of the word that I have included in the first paragraph, that I thought I would contribute to Fandango’s effort in the first part of what will be three parts.

It was in October 2012 that I took up working a graveyard, in the town where I reside, where I came from.
My dad, Peter, got a burial ground to make do, with my assistance. His business is a charitable one, not unusual for a retired person. For a good number of years, he had been the manager of the municipal cemetery locally.
I think he probably handled the job at the bigger cemetery with an air of stoicism, which is normal for a person professionally handling grieving. It is a good position to take any time death enters the conversation.
Each plant, creature, and individual inevitably passes, as dismal as that is. Stoicism is the mental process of remaining detached. I try not to engage too much mentally with the idea of stoicism, as I experience emotion, of course, and I am not sure it is healthy to detach too much from the experience of feeling real emotion.
Sometimes relationship advice for men I hear lends itself to the idea that stoicism is the best strategy for talking to women.
A lady’s reaction, the unemotional man prompts you, isn’t to acknowledge a lady’s reaction to you. It sounds unwholesome, yet meeting ladies who begin to like you is a numbers game, except if you are youthful, attractive, fit, and rich. That might be too obtuse to even think about fully articulating, yet I see where exhortation like that is coming from.

Universal Father’s Week celebrated in June is recognition for every one of those dedicated, magnanimous, mindful, adorable, entertaining, peculiar, severe, happy, and magnificent dads out there. This year, it is from June 17 to 23.
Of course, my father pointed out something to me, and coming to an understanding about this, I found myself wanting to add the idea.
I tuned in to what he said, two or three weeks prior, in his truck as we drove up the road, and I had a morning doughnut. In the next few days, I thought to compose this essay. This is how I would represent his idea.
The nature of our business is a cemetery, which we’ve operated together for twelve years or so. My dad helped manage a municipal cemetery for years before he retired.
He decided he loved Maple Lawn when he learned its board of trustees no longer desired to maintain it. A week and a half ago, Dad unexpectedly gave me a life lesson, something that had moved him. He said a business speaker ignited a connection for him, a long time previous.
The speaker discussed a monkey, an issue, and a method for dealing with stress.
The speaker had said that another individual might bring you a monkey on the back. That person already has his or her monkey on the back, and sharing that load with you is reduced in intensity for the person being unburdened, but the problem remains, now shared with you. Now there are troubles for you, for you to bear yourself.
My father was venturing to propose I compose this essay, which I figured I could do, keeping in mind Dad’s convictions.
Dad cautioned me not to let the burden, of letting a monkey take hold of my back, ruin what I have. I felt for an instant pity wash, like bathwater, all through me, and I took a glance out the window. I feel like that when I take a gander at myself in a light that I will never again find sensible.
My father said I should refer to the non-literal monkey. I tried to value the proposal.
Don’t let a monkey hang off of your back.
